What is Nursing?
At The Chicago School, we define nursing as a field of health care dedicated to delivering safe, effective, and efficient quality care for patients while promoting, improving, and advocating for the health of individuals, families, and communities.
History of Nursing at The Chicago School
Since our founding in 1979, we have continued to evolve and recognize the need for professional nurses as an important part of the health care team. To achieve this, we have extended our educational offerings beyond the field of psychology to feature a degree in professional nursing.
Our nursing program expands our ability to prepare graduates that can affect health through a holistic lens of understanding wellness, which is impacted by a solid knowledge of the interrelationship of body, mind, and soul.
Additionally, our international network, exceptional faculty, and local community partnerships provide graduates of our nursing program with valuable resources as they advance through their careers.
